Troubleshooting Windows XP

About a month ago I had a problem on my PC at work:

Opened programs were not minimized in the taskbar. Hard to imagine (and explain) but when I clicked the "minimize" button of a program it just dissapeared. I was looking for a solution until my collegue Emo Sokolov sent me a link to Kellys Korner. There I found a registry editting script which fixed the problem.

I wouldn't have linked to Kelly's site unless the same problem didn't happen on my home PC. Exactly the same problem: Click minimize, the window goes down somewhere and there is no window-button on the taskbar. When using Alt+Tab all the programs are available. So I found Kelly's site again and... again I fixed the problem with a script from the Tweaks page.
